Revising The Missing Mortimer

(Paid post) It's good to look under the hood of a writer's process sometimes. Here's a peek at how I went about editing my upcoming novella, The Missing Mortimer.
Revising The Missing Mortimer

As you may or may not be aware, I've been writing a novella: The Missing Mortimer. At the moment it's sitting between the revision stage and the out-in-the-world stage, so I thought it would be interesting to share with you what my editing process for this project has been. This is also my first extended prose piece, so I needed to experiment with a different approach than what I would use for a play or a short story.

Obligatory disclaimer: this is the process that worked for me and for this project, and it won't necessarily work for you. I'm certainly not going to tell you that you should follow my lead! However, I think it is helpful to get a peek behind the curtain sometimes to see what other people do; it may give you some ideas, and even if it doesn't it's a good reminder of how different we all are. With no further ado, let's get to the process.
